Michael M. Monson, O.D. graduated from the Southern College of Optometry (Memphis, TN) in May of 2004. He was one of the top graduates in the nation. He received the Presidential scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He was elected to Beta Sigma Kappa, an international optometric honor society. He received awards for both clinical and academic achievements. He won a national contest evaluating diagnostic skills.

His training included an externship at the Albuquerque VA Hospital and rotations in a contact lens practice. He is a member of the American Optometric Association (A.O.A.) and holds membership in the Contact Lens and Low Vision Rehabilitation sections of the A.O.A. He has experience treating ocular disease and providing personalized eye care. He also provides care for patients who have experienced visual symptoms following brain injuries. He consistently provides thorough and complete exams.

Doctor Monson is involved in the Butte Exchange Club, Boy Scouts, and is a member of Butte’s Chamber of Commerce. Doctor Monson enjoys many outdoor activities including camping, fishing, hunting, skiing, canoeing, and biking. He enjoys spending time with his family.
